Beef varattiyathu / Beef roast

Beef varattiyathu

This is a very easy recipe for beef preparation. This I prepare when I feel too lazy so I want to skip veggies cutting procedure that time I go for this. This is very tasty beef gravy can prepare without any effort . And can have with rice, puttu, chapathi anything you prefer.

Beef                                                           : 500g
Onion                                                          : 2
Tomato                                                       : 1
Green chilli                                                 : 4
Ginger                                                        : small piece
Garlic                                                         : 4 cloves
Chilli powder                                               : 1 ½ tsp
Coriander powder                                        : 2 ½ tsp
Turmeric powder                                         : ½ tsp
Garam masala                                              : 1 tsp
Cumin seed                                                  : ½ tsp
Clove                                                          : 2
Oil                                                             : 1 ½ tbsp
Curry leaves                                
Salt to taste

  1. Blend onion, tomato, ginger and garlic together to make paste.
  2. In cooking pot heat oil then add cumin seed and clove.
  3. Once fried smell comes add onion mixture into it and saute well then add  chopped green chilli and saute for few more minute
  4. Add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder ,garam masala and salt saute well
  5. Fry till oil separates then add beef and add little water to avoid burning. cook for 20-30 minute
  6. Finally add curry leaves to it and serve hot
