Besan Halwa

I prepared besan halwa with slight changes from traditional way. I added all purpose flour along with besan flour just to get dark color you can avoid this step and can use only BF. Besan halwa is an Indian dessert with sweet aroma. 

Besan flour/ gram flour     : 1 cup
All purpose flour               : ½ cup
Ghee                                 : 1 ½ cup
Sugar                                : 1 ¼ - 1 ½ cup
Cardamom powder              : ½ tsp
Cashews and raisins            : 2 tbsp

1.     Melt ghee in a deep cooking pot at low flame
2.    Add both besan flour and all purpose flour in ghee before it get hot
3.    Stir continuously for about 10 minute
4.    Add cardamom powder and stir well
5.    Simultaneously in another pot heat 2 cup of water
6.    Once nice smell come from besan add sugar, and keep stir till it melt completely
7.    Add hot water into it and stir continuously
8.    Add crushed cashew and raisins, stir well till the mixture detaches from sides

9.    Serve hot
