Rose cookies with almond flavor - stepwise picture

1 ½ cup all purpose flour
50 g unsalted butter (at room temperature)
1 egg
2 tbsp almond cream
¼ cup + 1 tbsp sugar
½ tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
½ tsp almond essence
1 egg (for egg wash)
Some sugar (for sprinkling)

1)    Soften the butter with sugar, then add egg and beat well
2)   Add almond cream (please see almond cream recipe here) and essence mix well
3)   Add the flour along with baking powder and salt. Mix nicely, but don’t overmix (I didn’t show cookie dough preparation here, because I already showed many other cookie dough preparation)
4)   Make equal three portion then take one portion and roll it
5)   Cut round shapes and keep aside. Do same with other portions
6)   Take five circles, then arrange as shown. Roll and cut into half
7)   Arrange this in baking dish with butter paper
8)   Beat one and brush it one the prepared roses.
9)   Sprinkle some sugar on top and bake in a preheated oven at 1700C for 25 minutes

10) After baking, place it on a cooling rack. Once it cooled completely you can store in air tight container
