Prawn masala layered pancake/ Chemmeen chattipathiri


250 g deveined and cleaned prawn
1 tsp chilli powder                                
½ tsp turmeric powder  
¼ tsp cumin powder                   
3 onions (medium size)                 
4 green chilli                                
1 tsp garlic (finely chopped )          
1 tsp ginger (finely chopped)          
Curry leaves and coriander leaves   
¼ tsp turmeric powder                      
½ tsp pepper powder  
½ tsp coriander powder                        
½ tsp garam masala                          
Salt to taste
3 egg                                               
1 cup milk
Vegetable oil                              
All-purpose flour                    

1.     First marinate the prawn with chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and salt
2.    In a pan add 2 tbsp oil and fry prawn. Then keep it aside
3.    Place the same  pan in medium fire and add 1 tbsp of oil
4.    Add finely chopped onion into this and saute for 3 minute
5.    Add green chilli, garlic, ginger one by one and saute.  
6.    Once all raw taste gone add Add ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp pepper powder, ½ tsp coriander powder, ¼ tsp garam masala and salt. Mix well and keep for few more minutes. 
7.    Now the time to add fried prawn. Mix well
8.    Finally add curry leaves and coriander leaves
9.    Turn off the fire and let it to cool
10.  Its time to prepare tortilla - In a bowl mix all purpose flour, salt and enough water to make a soft dough , knead the dough until it smooth
11.   Divide it into five equal part and each piece roll into a ball
12.  With the help of rolling pin make very thin tortillas
13.  Cook these in a pan for few seconds (take out before turning brown)
14.  Let’s go to next step- In a bowl add two eggs and stir well and in another bowl take one cup milk
15.  First dip one tortilla in milk and let it sit for 1 minute then dip in egg and place this in hot non-stick pan (use deep bottom nonstick pan – add 1 tsp oil)
16.  spread prawn mixture on top of tortilla (avoid adding into sides)
17.  On top of it, place one more tortilla dipped in milk and egg
18.  Again add meat mixture on it and do the same as above
19.  Repeat it until the tortilla finish
20. Pour remaining egg on top of it. Keep in lowest heat possible or keep a tawa under your pan to avoid direct heat.
21.  Once you see the egg is set well, flip it on a hot tawa and let cook for few minute to get the other side golden brown.
22. Now yummy chatti pathiri is ready. Serve it
